Liberal Policy: Why Test When You can Assume?
It is all about intent
In the arena of conservative vs liberal thought, there is one concept that stands out with liberals. Nothing matters beyond intention with liberals. It doesn’t matter that government run health care has failed in other countries, or in this country. If they were serious about finding a solid solution to health care, would it not make more sense to do it at a state level with 50 different attempts / ideas / processes? I suppose not.
In the liberal mindset, it is better to write 2000+ pages of legislation that include buy-offs to various senators and such and ram it down America’s throats on the Eve of our country’s most celebrated holiday.
Will it work? Has it been tested? Who cares? Let’s just assume it will and hold on for the ride. Good Luck America.
Keith Oberman on Health Care Reform
Honestly, I am not a Keith Oberman fan. On health care reform we at least agree that the current bill NEEDs to be destroyed. The federal government has no constitutional authority to mandate that you purchase health care. So in effect, if this bill passes and you do not purchase health care, you are a criminal. This in effect is not increasing competition but allowing an industry to potentially set prices to whatever they want because if you do not purchase their product you are committing a federal crime. How much sense does that make?
Huckabee on Obama’s abortion stance
Morally many people have issue with abortion. Even if you are pro choice, you have to understand it is a moral dilemma for any sane person and a decision not taken lightly. You also have to understand there is a human life that will most certainly be terminated if the abortion is performed.
It is immoral in the most heinous sense to expect a person who is diabolically opposed to abortion to fund it. Abortion being a state issues would at the minimum allow people to choose a pro life or pro choice state. Abortion at all levels needs to be taken OUT of the federal government’s hands.
Politicians & Health Care

Two sides - Naive or Corrupt.
I just read an article on the National Review Online by Ramesh Ponnuru talking about “facts” touted by politicians on the senate and house floor.
I am only going to steal one of his quotes:
Majority leader Harry Reid (D., Nev.) attributed 45,000 deaths each year to lack of insurance.
Looking at the report referred to by Ponnuru, it is clear that his is a HUGE exaggeration on an epic scale. The question I have is about the knowing of these politicians. Are they being duped by the people who are hired to keep them informed or are they intentionally trying to bully America by fear mongering into a health care plan? Are they naive or corrupt? Either way, they are not fit to lead… except, God forbid, a heard of sheep.
